Yardro began with the problem every design-build shop describes the same way: the estimate goes out on gut feel and last year's numbers, the change order gets agreed in the driveway, and the real profit on the job shows up months later, at tax time, as a surprise.
So Yardro, an independent software company, built the back office that answers it — shaped around the way working design-build shops actually price a bid: estimates from your own price book, crew hours landing on jobs the day they're worked, labor burdened with the taxes and comp and overhead that gut feel always forgets. Each piece went into a real shop's week and came back changed until the margin number was one the owner would act on.

How we build it
Every module started as somebody’s Tuesday problem.
Yardro is built with design-build landscape and hardscape shops, not at them. A module exists because an owner needed it that week — a bid that had to go out that night, a crew week that had to reconcile against receipts, a ledger that has to square with QuickBooks.
We ship it, it gets used the next morning on a real job, and it keeps changing until the margin number is one the owner will act on. That is the whole method, and it is why the software talks like a contractor instead of a startup.
